For whatever reason, Wildcard never gave on official statement on why it was delayed or how long of a delay this mode was receiving until the forum community started pressuring them to speak about it.

As a Raptor, players can communicate and coordinate tactical attacks on other species. The playing experience will differ depending on which creature the player is taking control of.
